The terms that hold your date, in plain sentences

Elrora Liveaboard booking terms in brief: pay 50% to hold your date and the balance 30 days ahead of sailing. If Elrora cannot sail, the choice is yours: a replacement boat, or your payment returned in full inside 14 days. Cancellations and changes follow the tables below.
The deposit that holds your date, and the balance due ahead of sailing
A deposit of 50% holds a cabin or the whole boat. The balance follows 30 days ahead of sailing. The table above shows the amounts as percentages of your total.
Prices are in Indonesian rupiah and include 11% VAT. Park tickets, the ranger fee, drinks other than water, coffee and tea, crew tips, flights and insurance are not in the fare. A private charter price also leaves out the guide and photo or video work; both are quoted separately if you ask.
An open trip sails only when three cabins are booked. If it does not reach three, we tell you and offer another date or a refund under these terms. July and August are open trips only.

Deposit 50% to confirm, balance 30 days before departure. You can also settle the balance in Labuan Bajo on the departure day, in cash or by card on the EDC machine. Fees: card payment link 3%, PayPal 7.2%, EDC card machine 3%. Your issuing bank may add its own charges.
Cancelling and rescheduling
Cancel two months or more ahead (at least 60 days) and you receive 50% of your payment back. Between 59 and 30 days it returns 25%. In the last 29 days nothing is returned. The table sets this out day by day.
A change of date made 30 days or more ahead costs nothing. Between 29 and 14 days it costs IDR 500,000. Inside 13 days, a change is treated as a cancellation. We confirm every change in writing.
Travel insurance is recommended, and it is the sensible cover for a cancellation that falls inside these limits. The refund tables apply to the fare you have paid. They do not apply to costs outside our control, such as a flight you bought separately.

If we cancel, you are refunded 100 percent · Refunds are paid within 14 days.
Elrora unable to sail: refund or replacement
If a breakdown, or an instruction from the harbourmaster or the park, keeps Elrora in port on your date, we put you on another phinisi of equal or higher class that same day, and the price stays as it was. You can instead take a full refund within 14 days.
The weather is different. A captain who changes the route for safety, shortens a stop or keeps the boat in the lee of an island has not failed to sail. Stops are made as the itinerary says, weather permitting, and the fare is for the days on board.
A replacement is a promise about the boat, not about the stops. We tell you in writing which boat, which class and which cabins you would have.
Children, insurance and identity documents
A child of 2 or under travels free with a parent or guardian. From age 3 the full fare applies. Every guest must send identity documents 7 days before sailing, and the names must match the passports.
Insurance with medical and evacuation cover is strongly recommended and is the guest's own responsibility. We do not sell it, and we do not recommend a particular policy.
Indonesian law governs these terms. Anything unclear should be put to us before payment, and our answer comes in writing. A term explained in the chat before the deposit is a term you can rely on, and we keep the chat for that reason.
FAQ
What happens if Elrora cannot sail on my date?
You receive one of two things, as you choose. Your party then boards another phinisi, of Elrora's class or above, on the original date and at no added charge. If you prefer, we refund every rupiah within 14 days. We tell you the replacement boat and cabins in writing before you decide.
Can I change the date of my trip after booking?
Yes. Moving the date costs nothing if you do it 30 days or more ahead, and IDR 500,000 from 29 to 14 days ahead. Later than that, a change counts as a cancellation under the refund table. Open-trip dates are limited to the sailings on sale, and we confirm the new cabin in writing.
