Four guides for the questions to settle first
Updated 2 November 2026
Four guides answer the questions a Chinese-speaking party needs settled before booking Elrora Liveaboard: how to reach Labuan Bajo, how a quote and a payment work, what a day on board holds, and which Chinese holiday falls on which sea. Each is written from facts we can check.
Four guides, one for each question to settle before booking
Before a booking, the same four questions arrive on WeChat. How do we get there? How do we pay, and what is in the price? What will a day on the boat be like? When should we go, given our holidays? The guides below answer them in turn.
Each one reads in a single sitting and is specific enough to act on. Where we know a fact, we state it; where entry rules or flight schedules can shift, we tell you what to verify before you travel.
No guide replaces the written quote. What they do is prepare you to read it. Go through them with the people you are travelling with, so the questions you send us are the whole party's.

Reaching Labuan Bajo, paying, choosing a month, living on board
The first guide follows the journey from the mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur to the pier at 10:00, and lists the documents to carry. The second explains what a charter quote contains, which charges arrive separately and how money moves from your currency to a rupiah invoice.
The third describes a day on board: tea and meals, the bathroom in your cabin, and what helps if you fear seasickness. The fourth sets the Chinese holidays of 2027 beside the sea of each month, and explains why July and August are open-trip months only.
Read in order, they carry you from your first WeChat message to boarding morning at the pier.
Which one first
If you have not booked a flight, start with the guide on reaching Labuan Bajo. If you have flights and want to understand the price, start with the guide on paying and the quote. If you are choosing a month, read the guide on holidays and the sea before anything else.
If a member of the party is nervous about the boat itself, the guide on a day on board answers the practical worries first: food, the bathroom, the motion and what to pack. Give that one to whoever worries most.
Questions that the guides leave open can go straight to your advisor on WeChat. Team hours: Daily 08:00–20:00 (WITA). A short message is enough: the dates, the number of guests and the question.
