From your first WeChat message to a confirmed date

To book a private phinisi charter in Komodo from China, write to us on WeChat with your dates and head count for Elrora Liveaboard. We send a written quote and secure the date with a 50% deposit. The remaining payment falls 30 days before departure, and passport details follow 7 days before.
Starting on WeChat, ending with a confirmed date
Booking follows a fixed order, and each stage ends with something in writing. Three facts open the booking on WeChat: the travel dates, the number of guests, and a choice between the entire boat and one cabin. Team hours: Daily 08:00–20:00 (WITA).
Next you receive the quote or the cabin plan. Cabin fares are already printed on the cabins page; for a charter we write the price for your dates. Read it, put your questions to us, and take the time you need. Share it with the whole family if you like; it is written to be read aloud.
Once you agree, you pay the deposit. Your date is then secured, and a written confirmation follows with the cabins, the check-in time and the terms. Passport details come last, 7 days before sailing. WhatsApp and the contact form reach the same team if WeChat is not convenient.

Deposit now, balance later: the amounts and the dates
Your first payment, 50% of the total, secures the cabins or the boat for your date; nothing is charged before it. The other 50% is due 30 days before sailing. If you book fewer than 30 days ahead, the full amount is due at once.
The table shows the two payments as percentages of your total. For an open-trip cabin, the total is the seat fare times the number of guests. For a charter, it is the figure in your written quote. Prices include VAT of 11%.
Park tickets are not in the total. They are paid separately, and we tell you the rates for your party in the quote. Keep your bank's payment confirmation: sending it to us makes our check faster.

Deposit 50% to confirm, balance 30 days before departure. You can also settle the balance in Labuan Bajo on the departure day, in cash or by card on the EDC machine.
Paying from the mainland, Hong Kong or Taiwan
These methods are open to you: a credit-card link, Wise, Revolut, PayPal, QRIS or a rupiah bank transfer. Card fees appear as a line on the invoice; PayPal adds 7.2%. Wise and Revolut suit guests who keep balances in several currencies; a rupiah transfer suits those paying straight from a bank account.
QRIS works with Indonesian bank accounts and e-wallets, so most guests abroad choose another route. Tell us in the first message which method you prefer, and we say which one suits your situation, whether you hold a mainland bank card, a Hong Kong dollar account or a Taiwan bank account.
Advisor's note. The methods above are the ones we can confirm. For any other method, ask first and wait for our written reply. Pay only against an invoice from us, and if a message ever asks you to send money elsewhere, check with us before you do.
Payment methods
Secure payment by Stripe, Airwallex, American Express, Visa, Mastercard.
Fees: card payment link 3%, PayPal 7.2%, EDC card machine 3%. Your issuing bank may add its own charges.
If your plans move, and if the boat's do
To move your date, ask early. A change requested 30 or more days ahead is free; from 14 to 29 days out it costs IDR 500,000; any later and it counts as a cancellation.
Should you cancel at least 60 days out, 50% comes back; a cancellation 30 to 59 days out returns 25%; later cancellations return nothing. Travel insurance is recommended for exactly these cases.
If it is Elrora that cannot sail, the replacement-boat guarantee applies: a phinisi of equal or higher standing takes her place on your date at no added charge. Should you decline the substitute, you are refunded in full, and the money reaches you within 14 days.
Passport details we collect from each guest
Seven days before sailing we ask for the details printed on the photo page of each passport. The park and the harbour both require them, and every name must match the passport letter for letter, or the pier check is delayed. Type the details into the chat as text, not only as a photo, so no letter is misread.
Children count too. Under-threes travel free with a parent or guardian, a full fare applies from age 3, and every child's passport details are collected the same way.
We keep these details only for the booking and for the authorities that need them. The privacy page says who reads them and why. If a guest's passport changes before sailing, tell us at once.
FAQ
Which payment methods can I use from mainland China, Hong Kong or Taiwan?
The choices are a credit-card payment link, Wise, Revolut, PayPal or a rupiah bank transfer. QRIS is also listed, but it suits Indonesian accounts. Tell us where your money is held and we point you to the method with the lowest cost. We confirm any other method in writing first.
What if Elrora cannot sail on my dates?
Another phinisi of equal or higher standing takes her place on your date at no added charge. If you decline it, the refund is complete and reaches you within 14 days. You hear about it from us in writing, with the replacement boat described, before you accept or decline.
When is the final payment due before sailing?
Once the 50% deposit has secured the date, the remaining payment is due 30 days before sailing. If you book closer than 30 days to sailing, the whole amount is paid at once. We send a reminder and the payment link in the same WeChat thread.
