Elrora Liveaboard, and what the other name means
The boat is called Elrora Liveaboard. Some listings and a brochure write Elrora Cruise or Elrora Phinisi, and all three names mean the same vessel. We use Elrora Liveaboard on this site, and Elrora once you know whom we mean.
She is a traditional phinisi built of ironwood. Six cabins sit on three decks: one Master, two Deluxe, two Superior and one Family. Her home port is Labuan Bajo, and she sails the Komodo National Park routes.
The vessel page has the figures we print. The cabins page shows each room and its deck, and the seat fare for each.
Our part and the boat's part
The booking team and the boat's people have separate jobs. We take your enquiry, hold your date, send the invoice, collect the deposit and the balance, and arrange the pickup and the paperwork. We answer for those things. No more, no less.
The boat's own crew sails her, keeps the kitchen and settles the day's route on the sea. The captain's word on weather and anchorage is final. The crew belongs to the boat, not to us, and we do not describe them as ours. We say so before you pay.
That division is deliberate, and it is simple. When something goes wrong at sea, the question of who answers should have one answer. When something goes wrong with a booking, the answer is the same: write to us, and we reply in writing.

Our work from the deposit to the gangway
From the deposit to the gangway, our work is a series of written steps. We hold your date, confirm the cabins, ask for passport details 7 days before sailing and send the final invoice. The ranger fee and local levies are not charged on their own: they sit in KEXI's park package with the government ticket (PP 36/2024), paid on top of the boat price unless your quote says it is included.
We stay in the chat until you board. If a flight moves, the pickup moves with it. If the weather changes the route, we pass on what the captain says, in the captain's words and without gloss. If the boat cannot sail, the replacement or the refund described in the terms is ours to arrange.
After the trip we answer the questions that remain, and we ask what we should have told you earlier.
