One evening to mark, two people, and a phinisi to carry them

A Komodo anniversary, birthday or proposal on a private phinisi is planned around one moment, and on Elrora Liveaboard that moment is the Kalong dusk on day one. A couple sleeps in the Master cabin, two seats at IDR 11,500,000 each on a shared date, or asks us to quote the whole boat.
Anniversary, birthday, proposal: the day you are marking
Each of these asks something different of a boat. An anniversary wants time: an unhurried day with the person you chose. A birthday wants a small surprise tucked into an ordinary day. A proposal wants a single minute, with no stranger's camera in it.
Elrora stages none of them for you. What she offers is a route with good light, a Master cabin with its own balcony on the main deck and a kitchen that cooks for the party. We can also price a dinner arranged to your wishes, flowers or decoration in the cabin or on deck, and a photographer. Each is quoted, not promised, and nothing joins your booking without a written note from us.

Where on the route the moment fits best
The route is the three-day sailing, and each day has a natural moment. On day one the boat checks in between 10:00 and 10:30, visits Kelor and a snorkel stop, and reaches Kalong at dusk. The sun sets at 18:01 in November. Fifteen minutes after the sun drops, the flying foxes leave the mangroves and cross the sky in one long ribbon.
For a proposal, this is the moment. Low light, a quiet deck, and the bats overhead to watch together. The exact spot depends on the weather and the captain, so we promise the stop, not the view.
On day two Padar opens the morning, with sunrise at 05:31 in November. A birthday that starts in the dark on a ridge, beside the person you came with, needs very little added to it. The evening of day two is for dinner on board. Day three ends with a last snorkel and the pier by 11:00.

The cabin for the night itself
For a celebration night the Master cabin is the room to ask for. It is on the main deck, with a king bed, its own balcony, an ensuite bathroom and air conditioning. The balcony belongs to the Master alone.
The Deluxe cabins on the upper deck have a queen bed and an ensuite bathroom, and they suit a second couple travelling with you. On the lower deck the Superior cabins have a queen bed and a porthole in place of a sea-view window. The Family cabin sleeps four.
If it is a surprise, tell us which cabin door the other person will open, and we tell you who on board has to be in on it. Tell us, too, if the party is larger than two. A group of friends joining a proposal is a different plan, and the cabins and the dinner change with it.
Four things to tell us a month ahead
Write to us a month ahead if you can, with four things in the first message. The quote and the cabin both depend on them.
- The date and the occasion, and whether the day is fixed or can move.
- Who in the party already knows, and who must not.
- Any dietary need, and any cake, flowers or other item you want us to quote.
- Whether you want a photographer, which is on request and quoted separately.
A month lets us check with the boat what can be done, and leaves you time to change your mind. For dates in July and August, ask earlier still, because those months are open trips only and the cabins fill first.
Price of one cabin for a couple
A couple in the Master cabin on a shared date pays two seats at IDR 11,500,000 each, for the three days and two nights, and nothing is printed as a total here. The fare covers the cabin, the meals, drinking water, coffee and tea and the stops on the route, weather permitting. Park tickets are paid separately, and so are drinks other than water, coffee and tea.
On a shared date there are other guests aboard; we say so plainly. An open trip sails when three cabins are booked, so your date is confirmed when the third cabin is taken or when another party fills it.
A private charter gives the whole boat to the two of you, and any guests you choose. Its price is on request, written for your date, and confirmed before you pay. Charter the whole boat and two things stay outside the price: a guide, and photo documentation. We price either on request.
FAQ
Can you arrange a proposal on deck?
We can quote a setting for it: a dinner built around your request, decoration and a photographer, all on request and priced first. Nothing is promised until we agree it in writing. Elrora's overnight anchorage is chosen each evening by the captain, according to the weather.
Can we have a birthday dinner on an island beach?
We arrange an island dinner on request, with the price given before it is added. Meals on board are included in the fare, but a dinner ashore is an extra. The route, the weather and the captain decide whether a beach is available, so tell us the date and we say what is possible.
Can a photographer join us for the celebration?
Yes, on request, quoted separately. A private charter price does not include documentation, and a flight with a camera drone needs a park permit that we request 7 days ahead. Give us the date and what you want recorded, and the photographer and the price are confirmed in writing.
