What the park charges each guest, and what no boat fare covers

Updated 2 November 2026

KEXI's park package per guest: 3D2N: IDR 650,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest; 4D3N: IDR 750,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest. Komodo National Park fees in 2026 under PP 36/2024: IDR 250,000 for a foreign guest, IDR 50,000 for a domestic guest on weekdays, IDR 75,000 on weekends. Elrora Liveaboard fares never include the park ticket, so every guest pays it separately, on top of a cabin seat or the whole boat.

Park tickets: rates and who pays

A government regulation, PP 36/2024, sets the park ticket. A foreign guest pays IDR 250,000. A domestic guest pays IDR 50,000 on weekdays and IDR 75,000 on weekends. The table shows the rates, and we checked them on 10 October 2026.

Every guest pays, and the amount follows the passport or identity card, not the cabin. The ticket is a separate cost from the fare on every Elrora booking, open trip or private charter, and it appears on no invoice of ours as part of the price. Snorkelling at the park's reefs is covered by the entry ticket.

Rates can change. We confirm the amount for your sailing date in writing before you pay, so that the figure you budget is the figure you meet.

One package covers the government entrance ticket (IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day, PP 36/2024), the ranger fee and the local levies. It is quoted per guest and paid on top of the boat price, unless your quote says it is included. For other trip lengths, the desk quotes the package with your booking.

How many tickets, for how many days

A ticket is counted per guest, and the number of days depends on the route. The calculator prices parties of 2, 4 and 10 across 1, 2 and 3 days. A party of fourteen reads the nearest rows and adds them.

We do not guess the number of ticket days from the length of the trip. Only the stops inside the park count, and they fall on particular days. We confirm in writing how many ticket days your route needs.

Children are the exception to a simple sum. We confirm the ticket for each child by age and nationality before you sail, and we do not assume that the adult rate applies to everyone.

Charges the ticket does not settle

The ticket does not settle everything. The park package we quote per guest already holds the ranger, the local levies and the entrance ticket of IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day (PP 36/2024), and it comes on top of the boat price unless your written quote lists it as included. The ranger and local levies are already inside the park package. Both can change, so the current amounts reach you before you sail.

An optional drone permit is requested 7 days before, and we ask on your behalf, never as a surprise on the day. Crew tips are also outside the fare. They are a thank-you, not a charge.

Ranger fees and local levies sit in the park package, not on a bill of their own. Our promise is simpler: no charge joins your booking without a written note from us.

Where and when the tickets are settled

The tickets are paid separately from your fare, and we tell you before you sail how the tickets for your date are settled and what to carry. Keep a little rupiah in cash for small costs along the way.

We ask for each guest's passport details 7 days before sailing. Your name is printed on the park ticket and on the harbour's electronic boarding pass, so a spelling mistake becomes a problem at the pier. Send the details exactly as the passport prints them.

If you lose a ticket or a pass, tell the crew at once. The park fees page on this site is a guide, and the amount on your invoice and in our message is the one that counts.

FAQ

What does the Komodo Island entry fee cover?

It is the park ticket under PP 36/2024. A foreign guest pays IDR 250,000, a domestic guest IDR 50,000 on weekdays and IDR 75,000 on weekends. It covers entry and snorkelling in the park. Ranger fees and local levies sit in the park package, not on a bill of their own.

Do I need to buy the park tickets myself?

You do not need to queue for them yourself. Passport details sent 7 days before sailing are all we need, and we then say how the tickets for your date are settled. It is paid separately from the fare; we send you the figure in writing before you pay for the booking.
