Elrora Liveaboard

A senior team, one phinisi, and nobody else on board

Updated 2 November 2026

A Komodo corporate retreat on a private phinisi gives your senior team the whole of Elrora Liveaboard: 6 ensuite cabins, room for up to 14 guests, no other passengers, one written quote and an invoice for the finance team. A working morning fits in the dining room or on the sundeck.

Senior colleagues, one phinisi, no other guests

A company takes its people to Komodo to get them away from the office. On a private charter no one else boards, so directors speak freely at the table and the stops follow the team's own timetable.

The route is the three-day pattern. The team boards in Labuan Bajo, climbs Kelor, spends the first evening at Kalong, climbs Padar at sunrise on the second day, and returns to the pier on the third. The captain decides each stop by weather, and we agree the rest with the person organising the trip.

Your company deals with a single booking team on WeChat. Team hours: Daily 08:00–20:00 (WITA).

Six cabins, fourteen seats and a protocol for assigning rooms

Elrora has six cabins on three decks and room for 14 guests. The Master cabin sits on the main deck and has a king bed and a private balcony. The upper deck holds the two Deluxe cabins; the two Superior cabins are below. The Family cabin takes four.

For executives we suggest assigning rooms by seniority: the most senior guest in the Master, the next level in the two Deluxe cabins, everyone else in the Superior pair. The organiser decides who shares with whom. The Family cabin suits four colleagues who do not mind sharing a room.

A bathroom and air conditioning come with each cabin, so the team rests properly between sessions.

Three days with room for a working morning

A retreat needs working time, and two places on board suit it: the indoor dining room and the sundeck. There is no meeting room, projector or screen to describe, so plan a conversation round a table, with printed notes and a flipchart you bring yourselves.

Mobile signal at sea comes and goes. Schedule the session for a time when nobody has to be online, and warn the office that the team will be unreachable for part of each day.

The best slot is the first full morning, after the Padar climb and before the heat. Keep the afternoon for a swim. The cost of the example below is in seats, with the whole boat quoted separately.

What the company is asked for, and when

We need six things from the company, in this order. First the dates and the number of nights, then the head count and the organiser's name. Next, the company name exactly as it should read on the invoice. After the quote is accepted come the cabin plan and the deposit, and last, every guest's passport details, 7 days before sailing.

The team should reach Labuan Bajo the day before sailing; a flight delayed on boarding morning would cost the whole group. We confirm the pickup in writing.

Special wishes, such as a dinner for the team or a photographer, are quoted separately, and nothing is added without your agreement. No guide comes with the charter either; one can be quoted on request.

Paperwork a finance team asks for

The invoice comes from PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia, registration number 1805260128363, in the company name you give us. Prices include VAT of 11%. The 50% deposit secures the date, and the rest is payable 30 days before you sail.

Payment can be made by bank transfer in rupiah, a credit-card payment link, Wise, Revolut or PayPal. A card link carries its fee on the invoice and PayPal adds 7.2%, so finance teams prefer the transfer.

Advisor's note. Request the invoice before the deposit falls due and check the company name and address on it. Correcting it after payment takes longer. The cancellation schedule on the terms page applies to the whole group.

A sum for eight executives

Eight executives can take the Master cabin, two Deluxe cabins and one Superior cabin. Counted in seats: two at IDR 11,500,000, four at IDR 9,750,000 and two at IDR 7,500,000. This is the open-trip price for the same cabins on a shared date. Six more colleagues would still fit, in the second Superior cabin and the Family cabin.

For a private charter the entire boat is priced in writing for your dates, and the remaining cabins stay empty. Add the park tickets, which are paid separately, and any drinks that are not water, coffee or tea.

To begin, send the dates, the head count and the company name. A written quote follows, and the date is yours once the deposit arrives.

FAQ

Can we hold a corporate meeting on board?

You can hold a working session in the dining room or on the sundeck. We have no meeting room, projector or screen to describe, and mobile signal comes and goes. Bring printed notes and plan the session around conversation. A dinner or an event for the team is quoted separately on request.

Do we pay the full amount upfront, or a deposit first?

The 50% deposit secures the date, and the remainder follows 30 days ahead of sailing. The invoice is made out to the company name you supply, and VAT of 11% is included. Finance teams can pay by bank transfer in rupiah, which carries no card fee.

What if Elrora cannot sail on our dates?

A phinisi of equal or higher standing takes her place on your dates at no added charge. If the company would rather decline, the whole payment returns within 14 days. You receive this in writing, with the substitute described, before you decide.
