A night in town on each side of the sea

Fly in the day before you sail. One late flight can swallow the first morning, and a hotel night in town is cheaper than a missed boat. Open-trip check-in on Elrora runs from 10:00 to 10:30, and a late connection does not move the hour.

Komodo Airport is 2 to 3 km out of town, which keeps the airport, the hotel and the harbour close together. The distance is not the problem. The timetable is. A flight that lands at ten the morning of sailing leaves no margin for baggage, a taxi or a rainstorm.

On a private charter the check-in hour is agreed with your date and written down before payment. The advice does not change: arrive the day before, sleep in town, and board with a clear head.

We book hotel rooms as well as boat cabins, in the same message as the cabin, so the dates on both match. The last morning ends at the pier between 11:00 and 11:30 for open-trip guests, and book your flight home after 14:00. That leaves an afternoon, and some parties want a room for it: a shower, a rest and a lunch in town before the airport.

If your flight leaves the next day, or very late, stay a night. A hotel near the harbour is the easiest, because the pier is a short walk or drive from the room. Say so when you book, and the room is arranged for your return day.
